Section 1 - General Policy
At all times regardless of rank, the Honour Code, Battalion Policy and Forum Rules should be followed by all members. Any violation of either will leave a member subject to disciplinary action. Any member claiming to be unaware of either will still be subject to disciplinary action. It is YOUR responsibility to be aware of these as a member of the Stürmtruppen!
Follow YOUR Chain of Command at all times. If there is any sort of issue or concern that needs to be addressed, go to your Leutenant or Hauptmann first, followed by the Major or Oberst, then your Generalmajor and finally the General over your Battalion if you feel the previous leaders was unable to handle the situation properly. Avoid jumping the Chain of Command! Leutenant, Hauptmanns, Majors and Obersts are fully capable of handling nearly every situation that may arise. Remember you want to handle issues at the lowest level of the Chain of Command!
Section 2 - Battalion Work
Obersts are expected to keep their Battalions up to date. This includes keeping their forums organized as well as maintaining an up to date Enlistment sheet and Battalion list that are free of inactive members. Optionally, Majors may create any threads that they feel may be a benefit to their Battalion. Suggestions include but are not limited to a Leave of Absence thread and Battalion rules/regulations.
If a Oberst will be inactive on the site for three or more days, they must inform their Major as well as their Generalmajor. This ensures that their Battalion will be properly watched over during their absence. In case of this absence the order of whom takes over is Major and then Hauptmann. A Generalmajor should only run the battalion if all other options are exhausted. *This will be enforced.*
Majors are required to host meetings and game nights. They do not have to be on the same day, however it is encouraged. Battalion meeting notes are to be posted within 24-48 hours. The meeting notes should include attendance and excused members, what was covered etc. If the Major is unable to host a meeting or game night, the Hauptmann should do so. If the Major is not able to attend then the Hauptmann should run the meeting, this allows the Hauptmann a valuable learning experience in terms of Battalion leadership.
Section 3 - Enlistment
Battalion Enlistment Applications should be responded to within 24 hours and no later than 48 hours. Applications should be either accepted or declined by the Oberst or the Major. If the Oberst or Major are not able to accept an application and need help, a Hauptmann can be designated to accept the application. This will ensure the new user is accepted. The usergroup can wait for the Oberst or Major to return.
A Battalion will run with one Oberst until it reaches 40 soldiers (2 companies of 20). Once it reaches 40 members the Oberst will have the opportunity to promote an Major. If a battalion reaches 70 soldiers the Oberst is able to promote a second Major. Anything below those numbers results in a loss of an Major.
Section 4 - Companies
Companies are to exist of 10-20 soldiers. Once a company reaches 20+ active soldiers and is maintained for at least one week, it can be split to create an additional Company. The new Company will be formed by soldiers of the already existing companies.
Company splits must be approved by the Generalleutnant before they may happen. Before splitting Companies, the Hauptmann of the new Company must be properly trained and prepared for their new role.
Battalion splits will be considered when a Battalion reaches 60-70 active soldiers and are at least 80% active for a minimum of one week. This will be overseen by the General, Generalmajor, and the current Oberst of the Battalion.
Section 5 - Inactive Soldiers
If a member is inactive for 7 days, that individual will be given an activity warning via message on Xbox Live as well as through the forum. If the member is unresponsive and reaches 10 days of inactivity, they should be removed from the usergroup and notified via Visitor Message, and Xbox Live.
If a Oberst wants to impose a posting rule for their Battalion that is up to the major no other rank can impose a posting guideline for the Battalion.
Section 6 - Promotions
Promotions can be earned in rapid succession depending on the soldiers :
- Behaviour
- Activity
- Past Experience
- Rank
- Service within the battalion
A soldier can be forwarded to the Führung for a promotion, the Führung will then decide if the member fits the oppurtunity and will promote them if so, if they do not the promotion recommendation will be rejected. Furthermore, if a soldier is promoted they are expected to learn the rank structure and what that rank demands of them there is no time for slacking in the Stürmtruppen. The Oberst of a Battalion is expected to train and guide their promoted soldiers.
Section 7 - Partying up and LoA
Party up with your fellow Company and Battalion soldiers. If you see someone online, send them an invite and party up. Keep in mind, invites go both ways. Just because someone has not invited you to a game does not mean you cannot invite them. If you do not party up with other members for an extended period of time, it will be inquired as to why this is.
Members who go on (LoA) Leave of Absence, must notify their Hauptmann as well as their Oberst. The purpose of a leave of absence is to maintain your status as a member of a Battalion while being unable to fulfill the activity requirements. This is not to be abused, and should be for a maximum of three months. When you go on LoA, you are not guaranteed to return at the same rank!
To go on LoA, members must meet the following requirements:
-Have at least 100 posts
-Notify both their Hauptmann and Oberst
-LoA can only be for a maximum of 4 months
-Understand that you are not guaranteed to return at your previous rank.
While on LoA, a member should have (LoA) after their Gamertag on the Company list. This will make tracking it easy for everyone to keep that member safe from removal of the Battalion. Their LoA should also be documented appropriately in a LoA Thread that all Brattalion areas should have.
Section 8 - Recruitment and Awareness
Recruiting is completely non optional and highly recommended. Although recruiting is key to growth, make sure the enlists are going to be active! They must want to be here!
Keep members in the loop and use open communication. All members should be aware of any news within the Battalion, changes, or promotions within their company.
-Know and follow any Company and Battalion policies.
-Know and abide by the Honor Code, Code of Conduct, Forum Rules, and Rank Structure.
-Transfers should not be discussed publicly. They should be done through the Obersts or Majors and Generalleutnant
